Facilities

'Elena' has a large cruiser-style rear deck, fully enclosed with handrails for safety, with a well silenced large diesel engine under the floor to give quiet cruising at low revs. There is easy access down into the cabin via well spaced steps.

Once inside, you are in the galley, which has units both sides of a central corridor, and is all electric, equipped with a kettle, microwave, toaster and fridge. The galley has generous illuminated work surfaces with a 1.5 bowl stainless sink with hot and cold running water, the cupboards and drawers contain the boat inventory of crockery, glasses, and cutlery, enough for 12 persons. The hi-fi sound system is based here, with a CD player and inputs for mobiles and USB cards - there are six speakers in total. The electrical panel by the rear exit controls the lights and pumps, and there is LED lighting throughout the boat and on the rear deck with navigation lights and headlights at the bow (for those dull days and dusky evenings).

Moving forward, there is a corridor with a canal route map, and a toilet compartment with a domestic sized toilet, and a small hand washbasin with hot and cold running water on a mixer tap. Moving forward again takes you into the large front area, with seating and a fixed table to serve food and drinks from. This open area is roofed to provide protection and shade and has roll up windows so that you can enjoy the open air when dry and sunny, but when they are rolled down, they keep you warm and dry if the weather is inclement. This is especially welcome on colder days in Spring and Autumn. With the central heating on, it is even practical to take the boat out in the winter, provided the canal is not frozen! The front area is equipped with multi-colour LED lighting under the gunwales to help get you into that party mood.

The accommodation is quite generous and there is plenty of room for 10 passengers and a steerer.
